Birmingham IA's Committee members were kept very busy at the lively Information Day hosted by Convatec on Saturday 22nd October at the Village Hotel, Dudley.
The Convatec Team were supported by support garment suppliers CUI and also Suportx. Pooja Dhir of 'City Dietitians' provided expert advice on both diet and hydration for ostomists, offering home-made hydration drinks and explaining the importance of good hydration for ostomists. A specialist Stoma nurse was also present to offer advice to those who needed it.
Both IA and also The Colostomy Association were represented. We were all well sustained throughout the day with tea and coffee, and also enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch.
We were delighted to meet so many people with an interest in IA, and our IA Literature was in great demand. It was also great to see so many of our own members at this event!
