Mike Jameson, Chair of Birmingham IA,, presented an Otto Ostomy model to Stoma Nurse Richie at Heartlands Hospital to help with staff and Patient training. The model has a host of stoma attachments to demonstrate ostomies of all types.
The funding for this model came as a donation from the estate of Mrs Mary Cotterill. Mary was the Stoma Care Nurse who was responsible for the founding of the Ruth Astles Centre, a dedicated centre for Birmingham ostomists and internal pouch patients.
